The Caring Place Dr. Frank and Maxine Jacobs Center for Men
About this Resource
The Caring Place (Miami Rescue Mission, Inc) is one of the oldest and largest providers of emergency human services in the south Florida community. It was established in 1922 and served the Miami community throughout the Great Depression and World War II. As poverty spread out from the inner city into the suburbs, the Mission responded to the growing needs of impoverished and homeless individuals by expanding in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. Today, Miami Rescue Mission operates multiple facilities and programs; and has a far reaching impact in Florida’s two largest counties.
