Hands of the Carpenter is a registered 501(c)(3) organization headquartered in Arlington, VA working to build durable shelters and sustainable communities for families in desperate need.

A Christian based organization founded by an architect by trade (Executive Director Mark Cerny), Hands of the Carpenter seeks to carry out the corporal works of mercy set forth by Jesus Christ with a specific focus on sheltering the homeless. Bringing in construction and architectural understanding, along with financial and other resources, we are currently building homes for families in desperate need in the Banica, Dominican Republic area.
