West Des Moines Human Services has been assisting low-income, older seniors and disabled residents since 1979. We currently provide assistance to more than 1,900 households in West Des Moines and surrounding western suburbs. We offer emergency assistance for rent and utilities, food assistance, clothing, and youth recreational assistance in addition to many other programs for those struggling with poverty. We are a member of the DMARC Food Pantry network providing nutritious food items to individuals and families.
