Wendell L. Willkie American Legion Post 19
About this Resource
This is said to be the oldest American Legion Post in Summit County, Ohio.
Named after Past Commander, Wendell L. Willkie. Willkie was the 1940 Republican Presidential Candidate. 2019 marks our Centennial!
Please note that the only access for those in wheelchairs, is through the rear door of our building, where the tenant business is located. The only space that will be accessible is in our meeting hall, called Dunlop Hall. All other floors require an ability to climb stairs, and there is no restroom on the floor described. Our building is very old, and we are grandfathered for ADA building requirements. We'd still love to have you visit if you can tolerate these unfortunate restrictions.
