About this Resource
Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Marion Post 661 received its charter on March 21, 1921. It has been in continuous operation for over 100 years, providing assistance to all veterans and their families, while also providing a welcoming facility for its membership for meetings and events. The Post also serves as the repository for over 2000 military uniforms dating back to the Civil War, complete with the biographies of the wearers. Our museum displays can be viewed at the Oregon State Capitol, the Oregon Department of Veteran Affairs, and many special events. We have a full Honor Guard for funerals and other events.
