About this Resource

Veterans Awareness Transition (VAT) is a 501(c)3 tax exempt non-profit organization that give away free food, clothes, hygienic supplies, and provide housing alternatives to homeless veterans because many veterans experience long-term effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other service connected challenges that profoundly minimizes a veteran's ability to maintain housing, employment, and perform daily living tasks.

VAT service veterans at our office location, community outreach events, and at numerous locations throughout PA & New Jersey where veterans live & sleep on the streets. Volunteers are welcome.

VAT was founded in 2012 by Malanie Jordan, military spouse and her brother, Joseph Boyd, Vietnam veteran.
