Feeding Umpqua, a program of UCAN, operates the emergency food distribution center for Douglas County. We collect, store and distribute emergency food for a network of local member
agencies serving low-income residents in over 40 locations throughout Douglas County.
Last year, our network of 16 pantries provided 25,174 emergency food boxes, and our
network of 6 community kitchens/shelters provided 110,110 meals. We also operate a mobile pantry (the Outpost Mobile Food Center), which brings emergency food to remote communities lacking
pantries/food stores: Days Creek, Camas Valley, Elkton, and Diamond Lake. In addition we also provide nutrition education programs.
