The Salvation Army of Mitchell offers a number of social services and material assistance programs, including a food pantry, a free weekday lunch program, assistance with utility bills and rent payments, emergency lodging and gas assistance, back-to-school supplies and winter outerwear, youth programs, Christian education and spiritual care. The Salvation Army's mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of all people in His name without discrimination.
