The Salvation Army of Grand Island offers a number of social services and programs for those experiencing homelessness or financial struggles, including an emergency men's homeless shelter, a food pantry and free lunch and dinner food programs, material assistances and help paying utility bills, as well as Christian education and spiritual care. The Salvation Army's mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of all people in His name without discrimination.
