We are working to educate the children in very small cities in the Philippines which are largely untouched by mainstream charities.
The reason that illiteracy is past down from one generation to the next is the parents cannot afford the cost of school supplies. When they cannot pay the fees they give up school and work for $2.00 per 10 hour day to help support their families.
We hope to keep these children from becoming another statistic in the main cities when they go in desperation to find a way out of hunger and poverty.
When family's barely survive on less than two dollars per day, there is not enough money for food let alone anything else.
