Located directly behind Sylvania Church, the food pantry is a community outreach ministry of Sylvania Church aimed at helping those in Tyler, TX, Smith County, and the greater east Texas area who are in need. Here are some common questions: When is the food pantry open? From 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. What do I need to bring? We’re blessed to provide help to those in need. Here are the things you need to bring to give us that opportunity: 1) Valid photo ID, and 2) Recent utility bill. Who is eligible to receive food? The Sylvania Church Food Pantry serves residents of Smith County only. If you need assistance beyond what Sylvania provides or if you live elsewhere in east Texas, dial 411 for help.
