About this Resource

The VFW traces its roots back to 1899 when veterans of the Spanish-American War (1898) and the Philippine insurrection (1899-1902) founded local organizations to secure rights and benefits for their service.

The Simon-Parise Post was formed in 1953.
Our Post makes contributions to the Marines "Toys for Tots" program, Vera House, local food pantries and the Syracuse VA. We have "adopted" the 174th ATKW of the NYANG, also the 27th Brigade NYAG. As part of the adoption we offer our facilities for Unit Family Days, Deployment Support and their return. We frequently donate of facility for health related benefits such as cancer benefits.
