Shine: Play It Forward 501(c)(3) honors Tom Shine who distinguished himself as a student. coach, and community leader while at Duarte High School, El Modena High School, Santa Ana College, Santiago Canyon College, Chapman University, and Cal Baptist University. Tom transformed players into coaches and changed their lives into who they are today. Many have gone on to live, coach, and perform based on Tom’s teachings, leadership, and guidance, that is a gift no-one can buy! Not only was teaching and coaching a job it became a life style that developed Tom into a man of integrity, commitment, and character. We continue Tom's legacy by presenting scholarships to students who have influenced change through their school, community, or sport.
