About this Resource

Peterloon is a historic Georgian-style home that was built in 1928 to rival the grandest houses of America and Europe. It was the home of John J. Emery who is best known as the principal developer of downtown Cincinnati, helping to revitalize the city following the Great Depression. John and his wife Irene were passionate about Cincinnati, philanthropy and the arts. This passion led to the creation of the Peterloon Foundation which was established to continue the work of John J. and Irene Emery in supporting nonprofit organizations.
Peterloon is the idyllic backdrop for all events from nonprofit events and fundraisers, weddings, holiday parties, corporate meetings and retreats and social celebrations.
