Founded in 1980, McClendon Center is an independent, 501c3 nonprofit
community-based behavioral health provider in the heart of DC. For over 40 years, McClendon Center has provided critical programs and services to those most vulnerable in our community — supporting and empowering them to live more independently and improve their quality of life. We are certified by the DC Department of Behavioral Health and have been accredited by the Joint
Commission since 1999, a prestigious credential not shared by any other behavioral health provider within the District of Columbia.
