Beatrice Curry aka "Mamma Curry", was a mother to many. Known to display her love for children by committing her time as a midwife ushering in new life in the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Fifth Avenue. Her designed appointment did not stop there, Mamma Curry continued to educate young minds by instilling reading, writing and arithmetic. Not to mention her noon day prayer with the children was an example of her duties as a National Mother at the Fifth Ave Church of God where her husband the late Bishop John H. Curry "Papa Curry" presided. I could never fill her shoes, but I am so proud as her great granddaughter to continue her legacy here at Mamma Curry's Closet Inc. where we support families in the community.
