Kansas Honor Flight is a 501c3 veterans organization that honors Kansas veterans of WWII, Korean, and Vietnam by sending them on an all-expense paid, 3-day trip to experience the War Memorials in Washington, D.C., that were built in their honor. As of September 2018, they have sent more than 2,000 veterans on this trip that many call "the experience of a lifetime." The Kansas Honor Flight is the #1 Honor Flight hub out of over 130 in the nation, sending 11-12 flights of veterans per year. They are an all-volunteer organization, with over 140 volunteers on their roster. They conduct numerous fundraising events each year, with all proceeds going directly to send veterans on flights.
