Hollywood Food Coalition

Description

The Hollywood Food Coalition (formally GWHFC) is an all volunteer organization which has served those in need since 1987. Over the last 30 years, HoFoCo has served 1.5 million meals (and counting), never missing a night. The food used each day is 99% rescued food (which would otherwise be thrown in a landfill) which is repurposed into a hot nutritious meal. In addition to serving a meal every night, HoFoCo partners with UCLA's Medical School to provide free medical services to our homeless clients in need. Each Wednesday, UCLA's mobile clinic offers this amazing service which is benefiting the community dramatically, and increasing morale-sickness without treatment can send people into depression and spread viruses much more easily.
