We were organized as a Domestic Nonprofit Corporation in 2012 for the purpose of retaining the legacy of our ancestors in our efforts to provide a central gathering place for members of our community and visitors. Our original purpose was: “Charitable, Educational, and Cultural” which includes the “Maintenance of public buildings, monuments or works”. In 2022, our focus was expanded to include, “Community Improvement & Capacity Building” (of individuals). We strive to offer programs, activities and events that will preserve our heritage, nurture and improve our community through service and developing self-reliance skills while encouraging unity, equity and belonging.
