Description

The housing choice voucher program is the Federal Government’s largest program for assisting low-income families, the elderly and the disabled with their rent. The program allows eligible individuals and families to afford safe and affordable housing in the private market. Participants are able to find their own housing as long as it meets the requirements of the program. It can include single-family homes, townhouses and apartments and is not limited to units located in subsidized housing projects.
