About this Resource
Brooklynn’s Box was founded by a Family with multiple Medically Fragile Children. The foundation is named after Brooklynn Lindsey- Shoemake who was born with Nephrotic Syndrome, Minimal Change Disease and now has FSGS (Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis) all Kidney Disorders to which there is no cure. Her sister Amiya- Rose Lindsey - Shoemake suffered a Hemorrhagic Stroke to pons area at the age 16 and survived. Our foundation was founded by Shauntiel Lindsey Brooklynn’s mother and her 3 sisters to advocate for families in Kern County and create more resources to relieve caregiver burden.
