Since 1981, Better Community Development (BCD) has served the Little Rock community through various programs. Hoover Treatment Center is a faith-based inpatient and outpatient substance addiction treatment center. Hoover is a community-based support system designed to provide substance abuse counseling, mental health therapy, health & wellness, and family life skills. BCD offers transitional sober living through Will's House (men) and the Empowerment Village (men & women). Better Community Development’s Healthy Futures AmeriCorps VISTA program goal is for members to build and sustain our ability to address social and economic conditions that impact the lives of individuals in disadvantaged communities.
