BERTHAS place is a shelter owned by the City of Vancouver, VHA, and administered by Catholic Social Services. This is a Non Congregate Shelter meaning that Couples can share the same room together! The first of it's kind in SW Washington, it's designed to be the in-between while you wait for housing solutions. Single men 55 and older and women (no age restriction) are welcome as well. This is a "Low Barrier" shelter. You must first call Council for the Homeless and do a housing assessment. Then you will be placed on a waiting list. Remember You must sign up for housing through Vancouver Housing Authority to be signed up for housing. God Bless
