Alpha Omega Urban Farm

Description

Alpha Omega Veterans Services is partnering with Memphis Tilth to provide a program that utilizes urban farming as a method of education and therapy for our clients. This project will use agriculture knowledge and farming activities to assist clients in coping with mental and physical challenges. The project will be located at multiple Alpha Omega locations to accommodate all interested clients, with the farm located at the Defense Depot housing facility. The program plans include farm-to-table instructional cooking courses, nutritional instruction, and AOVS-branded farm products.
