The Community Foundation of Greater Rochester is a public nonprofit focused on supporting the communities of Rochester, Rochester Hills, and the surrounding areas, primarily by facilitating and pooling donations to address community needs. We are a financial resource providing grants to other local nonprofit organizations to directly support the needs of the community. There are more than 800 Community Foundations nationwide, each serving their own community. Community Foundations provide community members with an avenue to donate within their own community; by helping people to give where they live, Community Foundations promote community relationships and community investments, helping communities to thrive.
