The Joe Nowacki Community Center hosts a multitude of community events. On the first Monday of every month Amercian Legion Post #16 and Auxiliary host their monthly meetings at 7:00 p.m. Bingo is every Friday night at 7:00 p.m. (6:00 p.m. in the winter months). The building is also used to host community dinners on the third Wednesday of the month, Red Cross blood drives, and monthly meetings for the Mackay Quilters Guild. Arrangements have also been made for the traveling veterinary to come once a month on the third Tuesday.
