The American Legion Post 6 provides community outreach through our 4 pillars: 1.Americanism, which is our flag posting and ceremonies on Veteran holidays, Boys' State (learning government), and Oratorical (learning the US Constitution) 2.Children and Youth which includes supporting Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Legion Baseball, and other local youth programs. 3. National Security supports our local blood supply through drives three times a year. ROTC students are recognized for Military and Scholarship Excellence each year. 4. Veterans are able to come in for assistance of any kind. Meetings are monthly in which a social hour afterwards promotes camaraderie.
