Philly’s largest and longest-running homeless shelter for men. With over 145 years of experience, a living legacy of John Wanamaker, we operate Philly’s largest emergency shelter for men experiencing homelessness—some 220 beds each night. We are the only provider of three meals a day—365 days a year—to anyone in Philadelphia, averaging 10,300 meals each month. More than just a meal and a bed, we combine deep, intentional engagement with compassionate programs and services including progressive case management, homeless resources and spiritual care. Our Christian faith is the foundation of everything we do and compels us to treat everyone— our guests, volunteers and donors—with dignity and compassion.
