The Sheldon Heights Food Pantry has been a staple in the Roseland Community, on the Southside of Chicago, for 40+ years. Our pantry provides healthy food options to the community, in a safe and respectful environment. The residents of our community suffer from the results of food insecurity. What is more, our visitors are often unaware of the benefits of making healthy food choices and how best to use the options that are presented to them. We try to make healthy food options more appealing in order to promote healthy eating, which leads to healthy living. In this manner we hope to encourage generational improvements to healthy meal planning and preparation.
