At Lovington Food Coalition our mission is simple. We are providing food to people who, for many different reasons, do not have adequate food resources at home. We have three main programs at this point in the life of the food coalition. 1. Weekly Food pantry: This is the longest thing we have been doing and the most basic. We open our food pantry and anyone who comes signs in and receives a bag of food. 2. BackSnack Program: During the school year we send a bag of food home for the weekend to kids in the Lovington school system who have been recognized as a family in need of food assistance. 3.
