Portage American Legion Post 496 is a part of The American Legion. The American Legion is a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization that support and influence local causes for it's community and it’s veterans. Legionnaires’ sense of obligation to community, state and nation drive from local to National. The Legion stands behind the issues most important to the nation’s veterans community, backed by resolutions passed by volunteer leadership. The Portage Post (Kent Legion) is an open bar with American Style food served with a large and medium sized hall that can be rented out. The large hall, which is called Underwood Hall, can seat up to 450 and is a great site for weddings, fundraisers, or corporate events.
